These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MPAY by Monday Tech mobile application and services (the “App”), operated by Monday Tech (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The service
MPAY is a digital wallet for the Lao PDR that lets you top up a balance, send and receive money, recharge mobile airtime, pay bills, and pay merchants by QR code or face authentication. All transactions are real-money services denominated in Lao Kip (₭).
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be of legal age to hold a financial account under Lao law and provide accurate information. You must complete identity verification (KYC) where required. You are responsible for keeping your PIN, password and device secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
3. Identity verification (KYC/AML)
As a regulated financial service, we are required to verify your identity and may request documents and a face scan. We may limit, suspend or refuse service where verification is incomplete or where required by anti-money-laundering law.
4. Transactions
You authorise us to process the transactions you initiate. Transfers and payments may be irreversible once completed — review details before confirming. Fees, limits and processing times may apply and may be updated. We are not responsible for incorrect recipient details you provide.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use MPAY for any unlawful purpose, fraud, money laundering, or to violate any applicable law or third-party rights. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe present a legal or security risk.
6. Account closure & deletion
You may delete your account at any time in the App (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Deletion permanently disables the account; certain records are retained for the period required by Lao financial law as described in our Privacy Policy. We may also suspend or close accounts for breach of these Terms or legal requirements.
7. Disclaimers & liability
The App is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure or from inaccurate information you provide. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be notified in the App or on this page.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
