How MPAY by Monday Tech collects, uses and protects your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how Monday Tech (“we”, “us”, “MPAY”) collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you use the MPAY by Monday Tech mobile application and related services (the “App”). MPAY is a digital wallet and payment service for users in the Lao PDR. By creating an account and using the App, you agree to this Policy.

We do not collect your precise GPS location, contacts, health data or browsing history, and we use no advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.

We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the wallet service), to comply with legal obligations (AML/KYC, financial regulation), to protect against fraud (our legitimate interest), and, where required, with your consent (for example, capturing your face for Face Pay).

All communication between the App and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS. Your account is protected by a PIN and optional password, with automatic lock after inactivity. Access to personal data inside our systems is restricted to authorised staff.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal data while your account is active. When you delete your account (Section 7), we delete or anonymise personal data we are not legally required to keep. As a regulated financial service, Lao AML/KYC and financial law requires us to retain certain identity and transaction records for a mandated period; we keep those only for that period and then permanently delete them.

7. Your rights & account deletion

Delete your account anytime, inside the App. Open Profile → Settings → Delete Account and confirm. Deletion permanently disables your account — you are signed out and cannot log in or reactivate it. Personal data not subject to the legal retention in Section 6 is deleted or anonymised.

You can also access and update your profile in the App at any time, or contact us (Section 9) to exercise your rights.

MPAY is not directed to children under the age required to hold a financial account under Lao law, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
