This Privacy Policy explains how Monday Tech (“we”, “us”, “MPAY”) collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you use the MPAY by Monday Tech mobile application and related services (the “App”). MPAY is a digital wallet and payment service for users in the Lao PDR. By creating an account and using the App, you agree to this Policy.

We do not collect your precise GPS location, contacts, health data or browsing history, and we use no advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
2. How we use your information
- Create, operate and secure your MPAY wallet and account.
- Process top-ups, transfers, mobile recharge, bill payments and QR / Face payments.
- Verify your identity (KYC) and meet AML and other legal obligations.
- Authenticate you (PIN, password, face) and detect or prevent fraud.
- Send transaction alerts and important service notifications.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
3. Legal bases
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the wallet service), to comply with legal obligations (AML/KYC, financial regulation), to protect against fraud (our legitimate interest), and, where required, with your consent (for example, capturing your face for Face Pay).
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers operating the App on our behalf — currently Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging for notifications and crash reporting). On-device face detection uses Google ML Kit and does not send your face images to Google.
- With banks, billers, telecom operators and payment partners strictly as needed to complete a transaction you request.
- With regulators or authorities where required by law.
5. Data security
All communication between the App and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS. Your account is protected by a PIN and optional password, with automatic lock after inactivity. Access to personal data inside our systems is restricted to authorised staff.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal data while your account is active. When you delete your account (Section 7), we delete or anonymise personal data we are not legally required to keep. As a regulated financial service, Lao AML/KYC and financial law requires us to retain certain identity and transaction records for a mandated period; we keep those only for that period and then permanently delete them.

8. Children
MPAY is not directed to children under the age required to hold a financial account under Lao law, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page, with a new “Updated” date above.
